يقع الديوان في 515 صفحة من القطع المتوسط، ويتضمن 122 نصا من القصائد، وفيه يشير منصور بن عيسى ليديوي إلى أنه كان لزاما وبعد مرور أكثر من أربع سنوات من البحث والتنقيب أن ننتهز الفرصة لإظهار ديوان أحكام النوى لينضم إلى قافلة الدواوين الشعرية التي صدرت للكثيرين من شعرائنا الكبار. كما تضمن الديوان 56 نصا من المحاورات التي كان الشاعر يشاكي بها بعض الشعراء والشخصيات في مجتمعه إضافة إلى الردود على هذه المحاورات باستثناء 10 قصائد كان الشاعر يشاكي بها أحد الشعراء لا توجد بمقابلها قصيدة للشاعر الآخر لتعذر توثيقها رغم الجهد الكبير في الجمع والبحث. وهناك كذلك 3 قصائد عربية فصحى، واحدة عن جمهورية مصر العربية (دار الكنانة)، وأخرى رثاء في الملك فيصل بن عبد العزيز آل سعود (فيصل المشهورا)، والثالثة في حرب رمضان المجيدة (شموس النصر)
