لعل أهمية الحوارات التي يوضحها المؤلف في كتبه تكمن في أنها توفر للقارئ فرصة للوصول الى جوانب شخصية لم تعرف عن هؤلاء الأدباء والمفكرين والنقاد كما أنها استطاع الكتاب أن يقدم آرؤاهم في بعض القضايا الإبداعية التي تخص تجاربهم. والحوارات تتوزع ما بين أجيال عديدة فهناك حوار مع أحد أساتذة الجيل إحسان عباس، ونجد حوارات مع جيل كتاب التسعينات وكان أيضا للمرأة نصيب في هذه الحوارات لمبدعات وناقدات. وجملة الحوارات تقدم فرصة لإطلالة القارئ على رؤية الكاتب الداخلية لقضايا أحيانا لم يعبر عنها في كتاباته فهي حوارات جادة تشكل جزءا من ذاكرتنا الثقافية.
