كتاب محيط المحيط تأليف بطري البستاني، هو قاموس مطول للغة العربية قام بتأليفه بطرس البستاني، الأديب والمؤرخ اللبناني والذي قدم العديد من الأعمال وقدم أول موسوعة عربية سماها بدائرة المعارف كما كان أولا من ألف قاموس عربي عصري مطول. وفي هذا الكتاب يقدم لنا البستاني ما جاء في المعاجم القديمة وأضاف لها زيادات كثيرة للمواد الحديثة الدخيلة والمعربة التي لا وجود لها في المعاجم القديمة ويحتاجها أبناء العصور الحديثة، وقد قدم القاموس مرتبا ألفبائيا ويقوم بعرض المواد بطريقة تسهل على كل باحث فيه الوصول لما يريد.
