نحن أمام رواية جدلية بانتمائها، حداثية معاصرة في علاجها الأهم إشكالية في القرن الحالي وهي البحث المستمر لتعريف جديد للحب. لذلك قامت مادلين بصياغة أسهبت فيها برصد التفاصيل اليومية الحياة كاملة بين رجل وامرأة حيث أحالت أنوثتها كلام عن الحب. جاءت الرواية لتلغي عنصر السرد من خلال حواراتها التي بنت الحكاية على شريط الذاكرة دون مراعاة الزمن للتتبع المنطقي للحدث وهذا ما ساهم في تقطيع الرواية إلى فصول عدة تربط بينها حكاية رجل وامرأة يزور كل منهما تفاصيل حبه. باختصار ... مادلين رصدت عملها بقلب الأنثى الساکن صدر امرأة التقاطع كلا منا برواية عصفت بحكايتها تفاصيل حب عشناه أو نتمن عيشه، حيث بنت شخوص روايتها على أساس هذه التفاصيل الى عرفت الحب من خلالها وخصوصا أنهما وصف في بلادها بأنها عرابة للحب . يقول باسكال فراي : (إنها صياغة جديدة (للبروزاك) لعلاج القلوب المكسورة ... وهي حاصلة على بقعة فريدة من نوعها في عالم الأدب).
