يجمع الرواية بين الدوران في الرقص المولوي وبين مفهوم التكرار، كلما استمر الرقص وعلت وتيرته كلما استمر التكرار، وعندما يستمر الرقص والتكرار يستمر السرد ويتنامى، فيتعمق الاختلاف ويزداد حدة، لأنه بواسطة الاختلاف الخالص والتكرار العميق يتحدد المعنى واللامعنى في الرواية، كما تتحدد هوية الشخصيات الروائية وتتدافع مصائرها، لقد كانت \"أندلس\" الراعية الملهمة لشخصيات الرواية تبحث عن الحقيقة التي تبنى على علامات مخصوصة استخلصتها من المعرفة والعرفان، إذ المهمة لديها لم تكن ترتبط بإعادة بناء الماضي فقط، بل كذلك فهم الواقع عن طريق التمييز بين الصحيح والخطأ، بين الجدوى واللاجدوى.
