حديقة الضباب\" هي الرواية الفائزة بجائزة مان بوكر للكتاب الآسيويين عام 2012، وهذه الجائزة استحدثت عام 2007 لتكون عاملاً لجذب الاهتمام العالمي إلى أعمال الكتاب الآسيويين، الناجية من معسكر اعتقال إبان الاحتلال الياباني للملايو، تسعى إلى إنشاء حديقة تذكارية لشقيقتها التي قضت نحبها في المعتقل. ومن أجل ذلك تلجأ إلى أريتومو، الياباني المحفوف بالأسرار، الذي كان ذات يوم بستانيًا لدى إمبراطور اليابان. هكذا تقبل الأسيرة لدى اليابانيين أن تعمل متدربة عند ياباني في بلادها، فتجد نفسها منجذبة إلى هذا المعلم وما يحيط به من غموض، لتبدأ رحلةٍ إلى الماضي، تشتبك فيها مع أسرار دفينة في بلادها الموجوعة.
