يحتوي هذا الديوان على قصائد، لواحد من فحول شعراء البادية في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، ومن الشعراء القلائل الذين يحملون ذاكرة القارئ من خلال القصائد إلى أصالة الشعر الفصيح في الجاهلية، بجزالته وأغراضه من مديح وغزل ووصف وشكوى وحنين ونصح وحكمة ووجد مضيفا البعد الديني الذي فرضه واقع الإسلام منذ أكثر من ألف وأربعمائة عام. ولأن قصائد شاعرنا علي بن محمد القصيلي تمتاز بالاعتداد بالنفس والنصح والتضحية والفرح والأمل والرجاء وكذلك بالشكوى والألم والحزن، فإنها كشفت عن صفاء نفسه ورهافة حسه، كما رسمت دقات قلبه ونقاء سريرته وصدق مقصده، لذلك خرجت قصائده ذاتية ولم تحمل سيرة الخرافة والأسطورة والقصة، بل ترك نفسه على سجيتها وفطرتها فكانت قصائده عميقة العاطفة استطاع أن يرسم بها ملامح البادية بعاداتها الحميدة وأخلاقها الأصيلة وممارساتها الإنسانية مما يؤيد بلا جدال ما كان يذهب اليه العرب قديما عند إرسال أبنائهم إلى البادية يبتغون منها سجية فصاحة اللسان ورحابة الخيال والخلق النبيل.
