حسني رشيد غراب شاعر مهجري، أمضى أكثر من نصف حياته خارج وطنه، ومات في أرض الاغتراب، ودفن فيها ؛ ونظم شعره كله تقريبا في مهجره. كان الشاعر حسن الديباجة، قوي العبارة، سديد اللغة، سلس النص، عذب الألفاظ، وجميل المعاني. شكل الرثاء والحنين والشوق جزءا بارزا من شعره ؛ وقد كتب ما اختلج في صدره ودار في خلده. ولم يغب عن شعره اهتمامه بقضايا وطنه وقومه وأمته. تميز شعره بالحكمة والصدق والعاطفة الجياشة، وغلب عليه طابع الحزن والألم، لاسيما في الفترة الأخيرة وما قبل الأخيرة من حياته، رغم بعض شذرات من التفاؤل والفرح والدعوة إلى السعي والعمل والأمل.
