تدور أحداث هذه الرواية في مدينة دمشق في بداية الثمانينيات من القرن الماضي، ويطرح الكاتب عن طريق شخصيات الرواية مجموعة من الأفكار والتساؤلات الجريئة، وتمثل شخصية \"دلال\" الفتاة الشرقية المتمردة على مجتمعها وعقليته الذكورية لترسم لنا الخطوط الأبرز في هذه الرواية بأسلوب ممتع وشيق. من الرواية : \"تدور … تدور .. هل هي دورة جديدة لهذا الزمن اللعين، أم أنها كغيرها من الدورات ؟؟!! … تدور .. تدور. لكنها في النهاية تمضي وتمضي، مهما تلوت ومهما تعرجت .. تمضي نحو البحر ك .. ك .. كهذا النهر .. تمضي كهذا العمر … تمضي وتمضي … ومعها … معها نمضي\".
