يتناول هذا الكتاب طرق إبداعية في التدريب ولكل مدرب هدف واضح يسعى إلى تحقيقه في زمن محدد من خلال نشاطات مختارة ووسائل مناسبة وهكذا تلحظ أن تحديد الهدف من التدريب يسبق التفكير بأسلوب التدريب ونشاطاته ووسائله ويعتبر التدريب نوعا من العبث إن لم يكن له هدف واضح وحاجة أكيدة له عند المتدرب ولو أردنا أن ندرب مجموعة من الافراد مثلا على مهارة (إدارة الاجتماع الناجح) باعتبارها مهارة مطلوبة للمدير، لأمكننا التفكير لتحقيق هذه المهارة بأساليب متنوعة للتدريب ومن خلال نشاطات ووسائل مختلفة تعتمد على متغيرات كثيرة منها (تمكن المدرب من أسلوب التدريب ورغبته فيه وخلفية المتدربين والإمكانات المتاحة للتدريب والوقت المخصص للتدريب)
