سعى المقهى الثقافي أن يضع بين يديك اخي القارئ الكريم أول إصداراته الثقافية، وقد كان من حسن الإستهلال أن يكون هذا الإصدار لرجل تربوي قضى أكثر من ربع قرن مديرا للتربية والتعليم، وقبلها تجول في عدد من مناطق السعودية طلبا ومعلما، إنها ليست حكاية المؤلف وحده بقدر ما هي حكاية جيل ومكان. ينتقل بك المؤلف في أفياء ذاكرته الخصبة، ويروى من منظوره متذرعا بلغة رشيقة غير متكلفة، محتكما إلى عفويته في الحديث والكتابة فكان أن خرج الكتاب قريبا تلقائيا كما أراد له مؤلفه. إن من عرف المؤلف يدرك تماما أنه يؤوي في ذاكرته ما يتجاوز ما كتبه هنا لكن الرجل إلى على نفسه ألا يتحدث عن نفسه !... فكان كمن يحمل آلة التصوير فبالرغم من أنه جزء من المشهد لكنه لا يظهر فيه !... هنا كان على طرف آخر كالمقهى الثقافي أن يحاول إنصاف هذا الرجل وأن يقول له شكرا على ما قدمته لجيل كامل طوال هذه السنوات.
