الكتاب هو تقديم رؤية جديدة لما يُسمّى \"الشعر العبري\" ويبرهن من خلال ترجمة جديدة للنصوص العبرية من مراثي الأنبياء في التوراة، أنها جزء لا يتجزأ من تراث الشعر الجاهلي الضائع الذي كُتب بلهجة عربية قديمة. والمثير للدهشة أن القائد التي يُعيد الربيعي ترجمتها، ومقاربتها مع الشعر الديني ولغته \"سجع الكهان\" تتضمن أسماء أماكن ومواضع وقبائل لا صلة لها لا من قريب ولا بعيد بفلسطين، وإنها-كما تقول القصائد- في اليمن القديم ! وفي هذه المساهمة الجديدة لتصحيح تاريخ فلسطين، يطوّر الربيعي نطريته عن أرض التوراة في اليمن، ويبرهن أن اليهودية ولدت هناك كدين عربي قديم، وأن التوراة لم تذكر قط لا اسم فلسطين ولا الفلسطينيين، وأن القراءة الاستشراقية-الأوروبية-هي التي خلقت هذا الوهم، وساهمت في تمرير الخدعة.
