تتألف أشعار الهايكو من بيت واحد فقط، مكون من سبعة عشر مقطعا صوتيا (باليابانية) وتكتب عادة في ثلاثة أسطر أو خمسة أو سبعة ولعل هذا الكتاب المخصص لأشعار الهايكو يرفد مكتبتنا الثقافية العربية بهذا الكون الشعري عن البيئة الثقافية اليابانية، المتآلفة مع الأشكال الشعرية القصيرة والذي أصبح في النصف الثاني من القرن العشرين ظاهرة شعرية عالمية، مختارات من \"الكيد المرتد\" ومن عتمة بئر عميقة نتسلق كل يوم باتجاه النجوم دون أن تبكي اللغة جائعة، في القفص يبدأ الاضطراب إطعام بلا نهاية من الحجر يقطع ويصقل ما ليس له صلة بالرصاصة ومجموعة شعرية هامة لشاعرة بارزة ترجمت قصائدها إلى أكثر من ثلاثين لغة عالمية وحازت على جوائز عديدة أهمها جائزة \"المجلس الأدبي الاسكندنافي\" وجائزة \"الأكاديمية السويدية\" فاستحقت أن تقرأ أعمالها بجدارة.
