كتاب مسرحيات مثيرة للجدل لمؤلفه الأستاذ عبد الرحيم الشبلي يحتوي على ثلاثة مسرحيات : الأولى (أحلام جبرة) وهي التي تعاملت معها لا لنقدها بل لتقديمها للقارئ كأحد النماذج الإبداعية التي قام بتأليفها الأستاذ عبد الرحيم الشبلي في فترة حاسمة من تاريخ السودان وتاريخ الأمة العربية على حد سواء والثانية في انتظار خير الله) والثالثة (الزبانية) ولو تأملنا القترة التي ألفت فيها هذه المسرحيات الثلاث والتي كانت ما بين 1965 و1970 هي فعلا فترة مثيرة للجدل في حقيقة الأمر إذ كانت تمور بالصراعات والأحداث على المستوى المحلي والإقليمي كما كانت فترة منعرجات حاسمة في تاريخ الأمة العربية فشهدت تلك الفترة محليا ثورة أكتوبر 1964 و5 حزيران 1967 م \"النكسة العربية\" وقد برز فيها الصراع ما بين القوى التقليدية والمؤثرة وما بين القوى الحديثة وهذا من خلال تصوير المشاهد واللغة المسرحية الحادة التى كتب بها الأستاذ الشبلي حوار مسرحية (أحلام جبرة)
