يتناول هذا الكتاب تحقيق لتلك الرحلة بعد عمل دراسة علمية لها لأهميتها كمصدر من مصادر الجزيرة العربية في عهد الملك عبد العزيز آل سعود حيث تغطي الرحلة فترة زمنية ما زالت تحتاج للمزيد من الأبحاث والدراسات لسرعة التطورات السياسية من ناحية ولأهمية المناطق التي زارها الرحالة خاصة المناطق الشمالية من ناحية آخرى. وتعتبر الرحلة شاهد عيان لتلك الفترة حيث شاهد الرحالة بعينه وأجرى بنفسه عدد من المقابلات الشخصية من أهمها مقابلته مع الملك عبد العزيز آل سعود وولي عهده الأمير سعود ونائبه على مكة الأمير فيصل بن عبد العزيز إلى جانب عدد من أمراء المناطق.
