Overview
تناول الكتاب حيث ان الحرية الاعلامية وحرية الصحافة تشكلان ركنا من أركان حرية التعبير وركنا أساسيا لإقامة الدولة الديموقراطية، وقد تكرست هذه الحرية في جميع المواثيق الدولية واعلانات حقوق الانسان. أما في لبنان فقد كرست هذه الحرية في مقدمة الدستور اللبناني حيث ورد صراحة في الفقرة ``ج`` من مقدمة الدستور اللبناني أن ``لبنان جمهورية ديموقراطية برلمانية تقوم على احترام الحريات العامة، وفي طليعتها حرية الرأي والمعتقد...``. وهذه الحرية مكرسة دوليا وقانونيا ودستوريا. وخصوصا في جميع الدول الديموقراطية حيث يعتمد مبدأ الرقابة الذاتية أو ما يسمى بالفرنسية Auto censure بعكس الدول الديكتاتورية، حيث أن الصحافة تخضع مسبقا لرقابة السلطة العام censure préalable وتبعيتها فحرية الصحافة والاعلام هي إذا الصلب والركن للدولة الديموقراطية، إلا أن ذلك لا يعني أن ممارسة هذه الحرية يجب أن تكون مطلقة من دون أي قيد.
