هذا الكتاب نقدمه ونحن على مثل اليقين بأنه سيسد فراغا طالما سعى الكثيرون إلى سده، إنه كتاب يشرح لنا بأسهل أسلوب وأوضح طريق الأخطاء الشائعة التي يقع فيها الكثير من الكتاب أدباء كانوا أم صحفيين أم شعراء أم نقادا، من هنا كانت الحاجة إلى هذا الكتاب الذي لا يستغني عنه أستاذ بل ولا طالب، فكم من العبارات والكلمات نحشرها في ما نكتب وهي-ولو كنا على بينة من وجه استعمالها-لتحاشينا الكثير من الأخطاء التي تقع عن غير قصد وإنه الدليل الذي سيأخذ بيد الكاتب إلى النهج القويم في استعمال كلمات أو عبارات، بل وحروف استعمالا صحيحا بحسب ما نصت عليه الشواهد اللغوية.
