مستحضرا فترة مهمة من تاريخ مصر التي عانت انكسارا وألما بعد النكسة مرورا برحلتها في مرحلة النهوض قبيل حرب أكتوبر وكيف تم إعادة بناء القوات المسلحة المصرية بعد حرب الاستنزاف استعدادا للحرب مبرزا براعة التخطيط الاستراتيجي العسكري المصري ليبدأ بعد ذلك في رصد يوميات حرب الكرامة مستعرضا مانشيتات الصحف-مع التركيز علي جريدتي الأهرام والأخبار-وما ورد بهما من أخبار وتقارير عسكرية من الجبهة نقلها المراسلون الحربيون ومقالات منذ يوم السبت الموافق 6 أكتوبر 1973 العاشر من رمضان 1393 بالإضافة للبيانات العسكرية التي كانت تبثها الإذاعة المصرية عن تطورات الوضع علي الجبهة أولا بأول، مختتما كتابه بملحق يضم مجموعة من الصور ذات الصلة لأبطال وقادة الحرب وخرائط المعركة.
