Overview
هي قصة بسيطة لكنها ذات مغزى كبير، فبطل الرواية هو مهندس يسمى \"جوجي\" يقع في غرام فتاة يابانية صغيرة السن لا تتجاوز الرابعة عشر من عمرها ربما لأن ملامحها (غريبة) فيقرر تربيتها وتعليمها ليصنع منها امرأة غربية عصرية وهو النمط الذي يهواه ولكن بعد أن شبت ناوومي عن الطوق خرجت عن الخط الذي رسمه لها \"جوجي\" وتحدت التقاليد اليابانية بثيابها وأسلوبها وسلوكها، بل وراحت ترتمي في أحضان الرجال الغربيين، الذين استهواها اسلوبهم في الحياة لتتحول بالتدريج إلى وحش وليس بإستطاعة أحد السيطرة على تصرفاته.
