يهدف هذا البحث الذي يحمل عنوان: تجليات الفكر الإصلاحي في الشعر الجزائري الحديث إلى تسليط الضوء على اتجاه الشعر الجزائري التقليدي المحافظ، الذي تجشم ورواده عناء حمل أعباء الإصلاح والتوعية والتوجيه على عاتقه في وقت كانت الجزائر فيه ترزح تحت وطأة الاحتلال الفرنسي الغاشم، ففي مطلع العشرينات شرعت جذوة الحس الإصلاحي تتقد أكثر من ذي قبل، مما أشعل فتيل صراع فكري بين الفكر الوطني الإصلاحي القائم على العربية والإسلام والجزائر من جهة، وبين سياسة الاستعمار والفكر الموالي له من جهة أخرى.
