Objetivo determinar la relación entre exposición a pantallas, comportamiento sedentario y dolor musculoesquelético en adolescentes. Metodología: se realizó una revisión sistemática de artículos en las bases de datos web of science, dimensions, scopus, sciencedirect, clinical key y lens entre agosto 2022 - enero 2023, identificando 150 registros y donde mediante un proceso de selección, se incluyeron 12. Los artículos, debían haberse publicado entre 2017 y enero 2023 en español, inglés o portugués, y relacionar el comportamiento sedentario y tiempo de exposición a pantallas con la presencia de sintomatología dolorosa musculoesquelética en adolescentes, se realizó el cribado de los estudios mediante el software Ryyan con dos evaluadores independientes.Resultados: 12 artículos cumplieron los criterios de inclusión (1 ensayo cruzado, 11 estudios transversales analíticos). La totalidad de los estudios incluidos reportaron alta prevalencia de dolor entre los adolescentes en una o más partes del cuerpo; encontrándose también asociación entre la exposición a pantallas y el comportamiento sedentario. Conclusión: Esta revisión sistemática muestra evidencia sobre la aparición de dolor musculoesquelético en adolescentes, con inicio en edades tempranas, situación que se asocia con la dependencia y exposición a pantallas, así como a bajos niveles de actividad física y altas tasas de comportamiento sedentario. Palabras claves: enfermedades musculoesqueléticas; dolor de cuello; dolor de hombro; dolor de la región lumbar; conducta sedentaria; tiempo de pantalla; adolescente. Abstract. Objective: to determine the relationship between screen exposure, sedentary behavior, and musculoskeletal pain in adolescents. Methodology: a systematic review of articles in the databases Web of Science, dimensions, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Clinical Key, and Lens was carried out between August 2022 - January 2023, identifying 150 records and through a selection process, 12 were included. The articles had to have been published between 2017 and January 2023 in Spanish, English, or Portuguese, and relate sedentary behavior and screen exposure time with the presence of painful musculoskeletal symptomatology in adolescents. The studies were screened using Ryyan software with two independent evaluators. Results: 12 articles met the inclusion criteria (1 crossover trial, 11 analytical cross-sectional studies). All the included studies reported a high prevalence of pain among adolescents in one or more parts of the body; an association was also found between exposure to screens and sedentary behavior. Conclusion: This systematic review shows evidence of the occurrence of musculoskeletal pain in adolescents, with onset at early ages, a situation that is associated with screen dependence and exposure, as well as low levels of physical activity and high rates of sedentary behavior.
