A 73-year-old woman presented with recurrent tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF; Figure 1A), leading to aspiration pneumonitis (Figure 1B), malnutrition, and sepsis, 3 years after surgical repair of an iatrogenic TEF sustained during a carotid endarterectomy.
