Overview
Este trabajo reconoce el papel desarrollado por la Dra. Teresa Chapa Brunet entre los años 2014 y 2018, como directora del Centro de Apoyo a la Investigación de Arqueometría y Análisis Arqueológico (CAIAAA), entonces llamado CAI. Revisaremos sus inicios en 2007, sus problemas, su evolución y cómo el paso de Teresa Chapa Brunet, significó un antes y un después en el CAI. Una serie de circunstancias ocurridas entre 2011 y 2013 prácticamente desmantelaron el centro en 2013. Cuando Teresa asumió la dirección del CAI en 2014 afrontó la tarea de su reconstrucción. Para ello, consiguió dotar al CAI de los recursos, personal y equipos de trabajo que permitieron reiniciar sus actividades. Su labor ayudó a crear una infraestructura y sentó las bases que todavía continúan en la actualidad, manteniendo la filosofía original del CAIAAA, centrada en la documentación y protección del patrimonio arqueológico mediante la aplicación, investigación y desarrollo de tecnologías innovadoras no destructivas.
