عرف موضوع القبيلة تجاذبات عديدة في الحقل السوسيو أنثربولوجي باعتباره يشكل أول نواة للدراسات الأنثربولوجية، والتي أسست للبنات الأولى لفهم الظاهرة القبلية في العديد من المجتمعات الإنسانية وما يحكمها من قوانين؛ وذلك عبر تبيان النماذج الثقافية الأناسية للقبيلة عبر الدراسة الإمبريقية التي قدمها الباحثين الأنثربولوجيين أو السوسيولوجيين على اعتبار أن القبيلة هي وحدة اجتماعية تحكمها روابط دموية حقيقية راجعة لجد مؤسس، أو متوهمة نشأت لظروف أمنية أملتها المصلحة والدفاع المشترك، وتقطن مجال مشترك يسمى تراب القبيلة، والقبيلة المتحدث عنها في هذه المقالة هي القبيلة الحسانية الصحراوية في الشمال الإفريقي.
