تحتل الخدمات التعليمية في المدينة مكانة مهمة وحيوية، فهي أحد ركائز المهمة التي تهدف إلى تنمية المجتمع ولهذا جاءت هذه الدراسة لتحليل واقع التوزيع المكاني للخدمات التعليمية في مدينة الخالدية باستخدام تقنية نظم المعلومات الجغرافية لتشخيص المشاكل والتي توصلت إلى قصور في أداءها في ظل التوسع العمراني والمساحي العشوائي الذي شهدته المدينة.
