Overview
The study analyzes the reading mechanisms in Coup de Grace (2006) by Jaime Alejandro Rodríguez Ruiz, which serves as a hypermedia platform for his novel Amaury's Hell (2006). The analysis starts from the premise, based on the theory of Reception, according to which the literary text comes to life through its relationship with the reader. The hypermedia text requires greater cooperation and interaction on the part of the reader through all its constituent elements: multilinear plot, hypertextual structure, intertextuality, narration, time, space and interactive games. Interactive reading reflects a different way of seeing the world and symbolizes the democratization of knowledge because it breaks with the canon that implies that the author is the only entity that controls the text since the reader is able to contribute to the text as much as its own author
