يهدف هذا البحث إلى الوقوف على أبرز ملامح البناء الفني للرواية عند الكاتب الصيني \"لو شيون\"؛ إذ يعد من أهم كتاب القرن العشرين والأب الروحي لمجموعة كبيرة من الكتاب الشباب، كما استطاع أن يسهم بفعالية في أثناء عشرينيات وثلاثينيات القرن العشرين في إثراء السجل الأدبي والفكري الصيني. انتقد لو شيون في كثير من قصصه، نفاق مثقفي الطبقة الأرستقراطية، في حين أنه أبدى تعاطفا كبيرا مع الطبقات الدنيا، ومن الجدير بالذكر أن \"نداء السلاح\" تحتوي على أربع عشرة قصة قصيرة، صور فيها الكاتب حياة المجتمع في أثناء ثورة شين هاي وحتى حركة الرابع من مايو، والتي تتضمن \"قصة آه كيو الحقيقية\" موضوع هذا البحث
