أولى الشاعر أسامة بن منقذ أهمية بالغة لشعر الزهد، هذه الأهمية التي توحي بسيرته الحسنة وتمسكه بالتين الإسلامي الحنيف. هذا الدين الذي تجلى في زهدياته التي قمنا بدراستها وتحليلها، والتي توشحت معاني الإيمان والتقوى والدعوة إلى ترك الدنيا (الزهد) والتطلع إلى الآخرة والتذكير بالموت والبعث والحساب والأمر بالخبر والنهي عن المنكر. ولا يخفي أن أسلوب الزهد لدى الشاعر أسامة بن منقذ تميز بالحكمة والموعظة الحسنة والنصح والإرشاد.
