تعد الأمثال والحكم الشعبية كنزا تراثيا مفيدا وثراء أدبيا وثقافيا نفيسا، لأنها تعبير عن تجرب طويله في الحياة، كما أنها تعكس أساليب العيش والمعتقدات والمعايير الأخلاقية في المجتمع، وكيفية التعامل مع مختلف الظروف التي عرفها الناس وعايشوها على امتداد قرون متعاقبة؛ وقد تناقل الناس هذه التجارب جيلا بعد جيل، وعبروا عنها بمختلف الأساليب، فجاءت هذه الحكم والأمثال في صور متنوعة وعلى درجة راقية من المستوى الفكري والإبداع الفني، إضافة إلى دورها في توجيه المجتمع وإصلاحه وتهذيب سلوك الأفراد، بما تتضمنه من نصائح ومواعظ يستنير بها الناس في مسيرتهم الحياتية. وفي هذا المقال سنتناول جانبا من هذه الأمثال والحكم الشعبية ونقوم ببيان أصولها ودلالاتها وأبعادها المختلفة.
