رصد هذا البحث أبعاد صنعة الكتابة التي ميزت منجز أبي حيان التوحيدي، إذ وجدناه قد خالف بها نسق التصنع الذي راج في عصره، فشكلت صنعة التوحيدي ثيمة تحفر في انساق حاولت نصوصه إخفائها تحت عباءة اللفظ المباشر بما يحمل من معنى قريب وعميق في أن معاً، دونما ايغال في مبالغات الكلام وزخرف اللفظ كما انتشر بشكل ملفت في عصره. ولما كان أبو حيان التوحيدي من الأدباء الذين جاهدوا في حياتهم وكافحوا كثيراً من أجل البقاء وإثبات الوجود فإن نتاجه اصطبغ بصبغة الحياة التي عاشها، ولاسيما أن العصر بتجلياته كان مددا لمنتجه فشاكل بثقافته ثقافة العصر ظاهرياً وخالفها حفرياً. فكان مما انماز به من مظاهر المخالفة هو ذلك الأسلوب الصنعوي الذي أمدته به مقومات ثقافته الخاصة، وقدراته الذاتية المتفردة.
