Overview
تتجلى أهمية موضوع هذه الدراسة في كونه لم يبحث على مستوى الروايات العربية إلا نادرا، وكاد يغيب على مستوى الرواية السعودية سوى إشارات عابرة، فتسعى الدراسة إلى التعرف على مفهوم الرواية الرسائلية- أي المعتمدة على الرسائل- وجذورها الأولى، محاولة التأسيس لمفهوم رواية رسائلية سعودية وقيمتها في الأدب الروائي العربي، وذكر أهم النماذج السعودية الأولى وحجم تأثيرها في فضاء الرواية العربية، مع الإشارة إلى بعض الوظائف التي تضطلع بها الرسالة في الرواية، ورصد التطور المتصاعد الذي تميزت به الرواية الرسائلية السعودية حديثا، وهيأ لها الانفتاح على الأدب الجديد.
