هدف هذا البحث لدراسة التغييرات التي أدخلت على دور رئيس الجمهورية في إيران بعد إجراء التعديلات سنة 1989م على دستور 1979م، وتأثيرها على صلاحياته بصفة عامة، وذلك من خلال استعراض المؤسسات الحاكمة، والتعديلات الجوهرية التي تمت على دستور 1979م، وطالت صلاحيات رئيس الجمهورية. وتم استخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي والمنهج القانوني، للوقوف على أبرز التعديلات، وإلى أي مدى تأثر دور الرئيس جراء هذه التعديلات التي تم إدخالها على الدستور.
