استعرض المقال موضوع بعنوان لماذا القاهرة وبيروت ودمشق وبغداد؟ أشار إلى أن القاهرة وبيروت ودمشق وبغداد كانت عواصم ذهبية حاضنة لشباب كانوا يمثلون نخبة أو طليعة المجتمع، وقد كان التنوير قائما بهذه العواصم، وقد أحدثوا التنوير بالعالم العربي، لذا فكان لابد من إنهاء دور تلك العواصم وإفرازاتها الإيجابية على صعيد التنوير، وقد حدث في واقت واحد أن لحقت بتلك العواصم الاستبعاد الثقافي من خلال تجريف التعليم بمختلف مراحله وخصخصته وتدمير بنى وأنساق الثقافة الجادة والوطنية ونشر ثقافة التسطيح والفكر المتطرف، كما تم توجيه القبلة جهة عواصم عربية أخرى. وفي الختام أكد المقال على أن المجتمعات تقاس بثقافة أبنائها كما ينظر إلى الدول من حيث نسبة مثقفيها. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2024
