Overview
The aim of this paper is to present the role of women in The Country Wife and The Rover. The main objective is to explore the role of women and their roles, their rights, their feeling, their opinions, their real life and perspective of their daily affaire. The researcher will employ the Feminisms theory to analyze the restoration comedy in the selected plays such as The Country Wife and The Dover. The researcher uses the historical and cultural impact of the restoration play. The analysis will show distinctive patterns of women in the restoration culture. The study highlights the ways in which William Wycherley and Amphora Behan identify their ideas. In conclusion, the research will contribute to boarder understanding of the Restoration drama to offer a comparative perspective to the role women. By examining sociocultural context. The discussion of this will contribute to valuable insight about social- norms, tradition, and belief in dramatic scenes.
