Overview
تهدف الدراسة إلى التعرف على نظم التشغيل التي تعمل في الزمن الحقيقي (Real - Time System)، ومن حيث تصميم هذه النظم، وتأثير ذلك على العمل في بيئات تتطلب العمل في الزمن الحقيقي، وما ذلك إلا لأن العمل في هذه البيئات تعتمد على الزمن كوسيط أساسي، ونظراً لأهمية الزمن كعامل أساسي في هذه النظم، فقد ركز البحث على دراسة تصميم هذه النظم بطريقة تجعلها أكثر قدرة على تلبية متطلبات العمل في الزمن الحقيقي والمتمثلة بسرعة الاستجابة للأحداث وإرسال البيانات في الزمن المفترض لوصولها وبدون تأخير ولمعرفة زمن التأخير الذي يسببه النظام في معالجته للعمليات (الأحداث)، ونظراً لما لهذا الزمن من انعكاسات سلبية، يمكن أن تؤثر على عمل النظام في بيئة تتطلب العمل في الزمن الحقيقي، وتحقيقاً لذلك، فقد تم إجراء تجارب معملية على نظام التشغيل QNX كنموذج لنظام التشغيل التي تعمل في الزمن الحقيقي.
