Overview
يحاول هذا المقال أن يلقي بعض الأضواء على حياة أحد أبرز شيوخ التصوف في السودان وأعماله، مركزا على إبراز إسهامه في الإصلاح الثقافي والاجتماعي (المادي والروحي) لمجتمعه من خلال ضروب النشاط المختلفة التي قام بها بوصفه شيخا للطريقة الصوفية التي أسسها في إحدى أوسع المناطق الريفية في السودان. ولذلك بدأ المقال بتقديم عرض تعريفي بالشيخ، تمهيدا لتحليل المظاهر المختلفة لأعماله الأدبية والتربوية والاجتماعية التي كانت تنبثق من المسجد باعتباره مركز الإشعاع لتعانق مصالح المجتمع وهمومه.
