Overview
تضم هذه المقالة رؤية إجمالية إلى تاريخ علم نفس الدين، وتعريفه ومكانته. ثم تمضي إلى بسط رؤية كل من فرويد ويونغ للدين، لتدرس هذه الرؤية دراسة نقدية. والواضح من المقالة - على ما يبدو-ليس إجراء دراسة نقدية مقارنة بين الرجلين، مع أن الكاتب حرص على أن يأخذ بالحسبان، نظرة فرويد السلبية إلى الدين ونظرة يونغ الإيجابية إليه، وانتماء كل منهما إلى مذهب واحد هو مذهب التحليل النفسي. سوف يتبين لنا أن الأمر لا يخلو من وجوه التلاقي والخلاف بينهما في عرض الآراء؛ وهو ما سيتم التركيز عليه في سياق الجهد التحليلي الذي يبينه هذا البحث.
