يتناول البحث دراسة تدليس مروان بن معاوية الفزاري من خلال مروياته في صحيح البخاري، وتكمن أهمية البحث في كونه يعالج مسالة من مسائل علم العلل، ويجيب على إشكالية إخراج البخاري لمروان بن معاوية في صحيحه مع أنه مدلس من المرتبة الثالثة، وقد استخدمت الباحثة المنهج الاستقرائي في جمع ومقارنة الروايات, وكان من أهم نتائج البحث: أنّ البخاري أخرج لمروان بن معاوية خمسة عشر حديثاً في صحيحه بالمكرر، وثلاثة عشر حديثاً بدون المكرر، صرّح بالسماع في الصحيح بخمس روايات، وصرّح خارج الصحيح بثلاث روايات، ولم أقف على تصريح بالسماع لسبع روايات، بل وقفت لها على متابعات تامة أو ناقصة, وأنّ مروان بن معاوية تدليسه تدليس شيوخ، وشيوخه معروفون في صحيح البخاري.
