إن أهم سمة في الشعر العربي موسيقاه، و هو ما يتميز به الشعر العربي عن غيره من أشعار الأمم الأخرى ، وكيف لا وهو ديوان العرب ، وحاولت من خلال هذا البحث في موسيقى الشعر العربي المعاصر ، الوقوف عند ملامح التجديد في هذه التجربة الشعرية الجديدة ، وذلك لأنها جاءت متميزة عن سابقتها (القصيدة العربية القديمة) ، وخاصة فيما تعلق ببنيتها الموسيقية.
