تناول هذا البحث موقف الكويت من زيارة الرئيس السادات للقدس سنة 1977 والتي أدت إلى مواقف متباينة للدول العربية، ما بين معارض ومؤيد، وما بين رافض ومتحفظ. وقد اتخذت الكويت موقفا متحفظا من هذه المبادرة، حاولت فيه الموازنة بين عدم التفريط في حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني من جهة، ومن جهة أخرى محاولة لم شمل العرب الذين فرقتهم هذه الخطوة، وعودة التضامن إلى المنطقة من جديد.
