Overview

Besides manual tasks, Andrew was given objects to identify and research and time off to visit the furniture galleries at the Victoria and Albert Museum. The research team hopes to secure funding to make 2019 the year of the antique dealer, with plans for an exhibition at the Bowes Museum, County Durham, hidden-history object trails at museums across the country, in-conversation events featuring antique dealers, museum professionals and academics, and the restaging of Quinneys, a 1914 play about life in an antiques shop.
