Overview
Loncon recuerda que la gente mayor se emocionaba con esas obras porque, como les decían, durante muchos años habían asumido que \"la lucha del idioma ya estaba perdida entre los jóvenes\" (Zomo 145). El mismo año ella empezó a tener un papel fundamental en la creación de cursos de estrategia para la enseñanza de la lengua para la Educación Intercultural Bilingüe (EIB). Sin duda, conocer más de cerca el trabajo generoso y crítico de Elisa Loncon nos permite, tanto en Chile como en gran parte del mundo, seguir en la dirección de descolonizar nuestras miradas hacia las mujeres indígenas. Para muchas personas, fue la primera vez que habían escuchado la lengua. ¿Cómo fue para ti ese momento? ¿Con qué y con quienes te conectabas? -Yo no sabía que iba a ganar, era una buena candidata, pero tenía mucha gente opuesta; una propaganda muy fea en contra que no estaba basada en la realidad, y eso me afectó mucho.
