Overview
Palinopsia is a rare neuro-ophthalmologic condition with multiple possible underlying aetiologies. It is distinguished into an illusory and a hallucinatory form. The latter is often associated with occipito-parieto-temporal cortical lesions of the non-dominant hemisphere; therefore, its recognition can guide clinical suspicion. We report the first case of palinopsia secondary to subarachnoid haemorrhagedue to cerebral hyperperfusion syndrome after carotid endarterectomy.
