Overview
Hier vertritt die Autorin eine zentrale und wichtige These der Human-Animal Studies (HAS), nämlich, dass Kategorisierungen der Tierwelt auch etwas über die Menschenwelt aussagen. Dariiber hinaus wird ethnografisch dicht die individuelle Entwicklung eines ausgewählten Pferdes in Form einer Langzeitstudie (beachtliche fünf Jahre) von der ersten Leistungspriifung bis zum Landeschampionat nachgezeichnet. Diese ethnografischen Tugenden machen die Studie so innovativ und zudem auch sehr gut lesbar.
