King Features Syndicate is requested to establish News agencies to carry stories produced by the Afghan Media Project ; Bernice Buresh characterizes the Afghan Media Project as an outlet for United States Information Agency Propaganda ; Bernard Redmont resigned as dean of the Boston University. School of Communications (Massachusetts) because of disagreements about the Afghan Media Project ; H. Joachim Maitre produced Motion pictures supporting the Contras with Funding from the National Endowment for the Preservation of Liberty ; King Features Syndicate withdraws from the Afghan Media Project after the president of the American Society of Newspaper Editors expresses concern about Funding received from the United States Information Agency ; Art Jahnke reports that H. Joachim Maitre came to the United States after his Defection from Germany (Democratic Republic) and is a friend of John Silber ; Saul S. Gefter asserts that an article about the Afghan Media Project by Art Jahnke contains inaccuracies
