النبي المسلح\" كتاب يتناول حياة تروتسكي ما بين مولده في عام 1879 وعام 1921 في هذا الكتاب بذل المؤلف دويتشر جهدا لإعادة تكوين تفاصيل السيرة الحقيقية لليون تروتسكي، بعد أن سطا \"لصوص المقابر\" على ضريحه يقول في مقدمة كتابه \"وبالنسبة للجيل السوفياتي الحالي ولغيره أيضا تشبه حياة تروتسكي واحدا من تلك القبور المصرية القديمة التي يعرف الناس أنها ضمت في الماضي جثمان رجل عظيم ورواية منجزاته المحفورة على ألواح من ذهب إلا أن لصوص مقابل ومخربي آثار عاثوا في الضريح فسادا وتركوه فارغا وموحشا إلى درجة أنه لم يعد ثمة أثر واحد للألواح التي كان يتضمنها سابقا.
