Overview
الشعر ديوان العرب، وسجل حفظت به الأنساب والأيام. هاهو المحقق يقدم لنا ديوان الأعشى الأكبر أحد فحول الشعراء في العصر الجاهلي، قيل فيه : إنه أشعر الناس إذا طرب، وقيل فيه : إنه صناجة العرب لجودة شعره. قدم المحقق للديوان بترجمة للأعشى الأكبر وكنيته : أبو بصير، وألحق بها أخباره نقلا عن كتاب الأغاني. أما العمل في الديوان فبدأه بضبط الأشعار وبيان بحور القصائد والقطع الشعرية، ثم شرح المفردات الغريبة. كما وضع عناوين للقصائد، اختيرت من القصائد نفسها.
