\"رباعيات الخيام\" هو عبارة عن مقاطع شعرية يتكون كل منها من بيتين شعريين وله جزءان. يشتق مصطلح رباعيات من الأصل العربي لكلمة أربعة. تعرض هنا مجموعة من رباعيات الخيام التي ظل تفسيرها قضية قائمة. فبينما يرى البعض هذا العمل نداء للاستمتاع بالحياة والاحتفال بها، ينظر له آخرون من منظور صوفي. كما يدعي آخرون بأن العمل يعزز النظرة التشاؤمية والعدمية وقد تأثرت هذه التفسيرات بشكل كبير بالترجمات المتنوعة للمجموعة. لا أحد يعرف رقم رباعيات الخيام بالتحديد، حيث إنه من المعتقد أن هناك رباعيات عديدة قد قام شعراء لاحقون بإضافتها للمجموعة الأصلية ومع ذلك، فقد نسبت إلى عمر الخيام عدد 1,200 إلى 2,000 رباعية.
