يقدم لنا مولانا جلال الدين الرومى (604-672 هـ.) ديوان شمس الدين تبريزى أو الديوان الكبير والذى يسمى أيضا ديوان العشق فعلى سعه هذا الديوان الذى يحتوى على حوالى ستين ألف بيت شعر سواء غزلا أو رباعيا أو قصيده فإنه لا يتناول إلا موضوعا واحدا وهو العشق بكل أحواله وصروحه العشق الحافل بالوجد والجنون والموسيقى والفكر السامي الراقي كما أنه ينظم هذا الشعر لنفسه وللعشاق وللمعشوق الأزلي الأبدي.
