مجموعة من المقالات واللقاءات حول الفن.. فن الغناء وفن الموسيقى وفن المسرح وفن السينما .. وقد كتبت هذه المقالات كلها خلال فترة عشت فيها قريبا من الحياة الفنية عندما كنت رئيسا لتحرير مجلة الكواكب من سنة 1965 إلى 1969، وقد ساعدتنى هذه الفترة على الاقتراب من الحياة الفنية الشعبية وساعدتنى على ان اتعرف على ذوق الجماهير ولقد مر حين من الزمن كان فيه الاهتمام بذوالجماهير عيبا لا يغفره أحد من المثقفين، فالجماهير في واد والمثقفون في واد اخر، ومن هنا فقد حاولت في هذا الكتاب ان اجمع بعض ما كتبته عن الفنانين ذوي التأثير الشعبي مثل ام كلثوم وعبد الوهاب وعن الفنون ذات التأثير الجماهيري الواسع مثل الغناء والموسيقى والسينما والمسرح.
